Green Space Design and Construction
North East Trees is a grass-roots, community based nonprofit creating parks and trails in the Los Angeles area, with a focus on restoring natural habitat and protecting Southern California’s watershed.
Schoolyard Greening
North East Trees has aided many Los Angeles schools in creating outdoor greenspaces for students, including removing asphalt in order to create more spaces for trees, nature planters, and outdoor learning areas.
Youth Environmental Stewardship
Young adults from under-served areas are employed in construction and urban forestry jobs in order to begin a career in environmental stewardship and leadership.
Community
Under-resourced and environmentally challenged communities are given the resources and connections so that interested residents can initiate, oversee and maintain improvements to their own communities
