Invest in our/your/their future
This is the idea and core value that drives Planet Presents.
It’s no secret we buy lots of presents. In 2022, the average American consumer spent $997.73 on gifts during the holiday season alone. But did you ever wonder what good that money could be doing? We purchase thousands of dollars worth of toys, games and gadgets each year, many of which we don’t even really want, much less need. However, most parents, grandparents and family friends are going to purchase gifts for kids regardless. So, Planet Presents was founded to create a way for families and friends to use that money for good.
A hub of change
And a way for people to invest in that change.
There are over 1.5 million nonprofits in the United States, 15,000 of which register as environment- or animal welfare-based organizations. There are so many people doing innovative and crucial work to protect our Earth, but with so many choices, it’s hard to know which charities align with the issues you find important and would like to support. Rather than creating another nonprofit and spreading the money even thinner, we wanted to create a hub that highlights a diverse and important group of environment-based charities, so you can discover which charities you want to support.
A world of change begins today
Starting right now, with you.
Earth is a scary place right now. We feel it, and we’re sure you do to. But ordinary people have the power to change that. By gifting a kid, teen, or young adult a donation to an environmental nonprofit, you’re showing a commitment to them and their future. Big or small, a gift to a nonprofit (on Planet Presents or not) is a gift to our Earth, the life it holds, its youngest generations, and the education they’ll receive. No matter who you end up donating to, you can make a difference. Right here. Right now.
About the Creator
Brayden Bittel is a teenager living in Orange County, California. At the age of 10, after visiting Disney World for the first time, he created a petition to stop Disney parks from using plastic straws; it garnered 40,000 signatures and Disney eliminated plastic straws from their theme parks and cruise ships in 2019. After asking his family to support local nonprofits during birthdays for several years, he decided to create Planet Presents to help others do the same. He wants to prove that anyone - especially kids - can make a difference for the better.
